Ski Tours

Chamonix - Warm up at the Brevant and Grand Montet ski areas, where you'll find groomed slopes as well as untracked powder. From the top of the Grand Montet, ski out of bounds, either down the Pas de Chevre (Goat's Path), which offers a 2000 meter run onto the Mer de Glace glacier and back to Chamonix. Or, ski off the other side of the Grand Montet, the start of the famous Haute Route, down to the Argentiere glacier where one almost always finds deep powder. From the Brevant ski area, off piste skiing is also easily attainable, especially with climbing skins. With a little effort, one can have a long descent down the valley of the Aiguille Rouge Nature Reserve. And of course, the Vallee Blanche should not be missed. From the center of Chamonix, one takes a tram to the top of the Aiguille du Midi, gaining an elevation of 2,800 meters. This all day ski run puts you in the heart of the Mont Blanc range.

There are many options from beginner to advanced as you ski down to the Requin Hut for lunch. After lunch, there are a few more steep pitches before traversing the Mer de Glace glacier and skiing the final pitches back to Chamonix. This will be an experience you will never forget.
